Natalie Bertsch and Molly Mendoza – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS rivalry week against Braden River begins Sept. 12. The Mustangs take on the Pirates at home on Sept. 16.
To raise spirit for the game, the LRHS Student Government Association (SGA) has joined forces with the Braden River High School SGA to participate in the second annual Chick-fil-A fundraiser.
SGA member Kaley Carpenter, junior, said, “This is an easy and delicious way to raise money for LRHS so please go to Chick-fil-A.”
The Chick-fil-A at Creekwood Crossing (Creekwood Crossing, 5206 73rd Ln E) hosts the event Sept. 12-16. To participate each person must state the school they are supporting before placing their order. Guests may order in the dining room or drive-thru.
The school with the most votes will be announced at the football game Friday night and will receive 20% of the revenue they brought in. The runner-up will receive a donation of $500.
Last year LRHS came in second, but SGA member Alyssa Barnsley, senior, said “Despite their advantage of location, I believe we are still going to win.” She also added “This is a great way for everyone to get pumped for the game, while raising school spirit.”
SGA has a Twitter account to keep student informed, their handle is “@lrhssga”. They can also be found on Snapchat with the username “lrstampede”.
SGA member Zoe Soler, senior, said “Go eat Chick-fil-A for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”
