LRHS Back-to-School-Night set for Sept. 12

Abbey Shilling – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Due to Hurricane Hermine, LRHS Back-to-School-Night originally set for Aug. 24 will now be rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 12.

Parents should still expect the first bell to ring at 5:55 p.m. and the schedule will be completed by 7:20 p.m. Parents and any students attending are encouraged to be on campus by 5:50. Schedules and maps will be distributed to all parents and administrators will be present to answer any questions parents may have.

Teachers will have short presentations prepared for all parents in attendance and will be prepared to answer questions, however, there will not be time for any parent-teacher conferences so parents should be prepared to make arrangements for conferences if they deem it necessary.

LRHS assistant principal Dr. Melinda Lundy said Back-to-school-night has always been beneficial to both parents and teacher and this year is predicted to yield the same positive results.

“I predict we will have a full house with hundreds of parents eager to learn more about their child’s schedule, our course offerings, and tips for success from the teachers,” said Lundy. “Our hope is that parents maximize this opportunity to support their child’s academic success.”
