Varsity football Mustangs ready for Bruins

Macs McAdoo – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Last week, the Mustang varsity football team took on the Riverview Rams.  The Mustangs suffered a loss 30-13, but are ready to make a comeback this week at the Ranch.

“Last week we made way too many mistakes,” said head football coach Mick Koczersut.  “We have a really good group of kids and a chance to have a really good football team. It’s a lot of guys playing for the first time on varsity. We need to fix the mental mistakes on the team, but physically, I feel we’re very strong.”

Mustangs are preparing for their next game this Friday against the Bayshore Bruins.

“Typically, a football team makes its greatest improvement from week one to week two,” Koczersut said.  “I’m excited to see where we’re going to be at the end of the week and how the new kids adjust to the varsity team.”

Mustangs are encouraged to come out and cheer on our team at the first home game of the season.

“We’re going to need the student body to help support us through this season,” Koczersut said.  “The players do their part, but we need the rest of you to come cheer us on.”
