(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustang cheerleaders have been preparing cheers and dances for the 2015-2016 school year and football season.
The 11 new members of the varsity team who moved up from Junior Varsity over the summer learned numerous new dances and a couple of new cheers before the first home game. Many of them are excited to see the increase in the number of people in the crowd, to be able to dance to the band, and cheer at a varsity game.
New\LRHS varsity cheerleader Sarah Molinari, junior, said, “I think it’s very exciting because I look forward to cheering that night and the hype of the crowd gives me an adrenaline rush.”
New LRHS Junior Varsity cheerleaders are also very pumped to experience cheering on the sidelines along with some veterans of the Junior Varsity team from last football season. Freshman Junior Varsity cheerleaders cheer at the first game of the season, August 27th.
Freshman Rachel Weronik says, “I’m very nervous but confident I will do well at my first game.”
