(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Advanced Placement (AP) World History teacher Heather Selens invites last year’s students to recognize their achievements directly after school for a short time on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

According to Selens, the class and AP College Board exam are extremely difficult to pass. Selens said, “We’re getting together to celebrate our academic achievements and the pass rate.”

The goal of the meeting is to look at the class, national and global pass rates on the multiple choice and essay sections. Other events taking place will surprise students, but Selens said there will be some sort of awards.  She will reveal her pass rates at the meeting.

Selens encourages students to attend even if they didn’t pass the exam or class, because everyone played a part in making the class an enjoyable environment.

“My students are awesome and they need to be recognized, ” said Selens.
