Mustangs launch 2015-16 school year

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The 2015-16 school year started Monday, and LRHS students and administration are looking forward to the school year.

According to LRHS Principal Craig Little, this year’s student body consists of approximately 2300 kids, 800 of which are freshman.

Senior Sage Wilkerson said, “I’m really excited to be a senior. My teachers all seem really cool and I love seeing all my friends.”

“High school seems alright, I’m really hyped up,” said freshman Kyrie Irving.

Returning Mustangs look forward to showcasing their school spirit. “I’m excited for is football Fridays,” stated sophomore Sierra Ellis.

Junior Kerestyn Kesgiropoulos said, “It’s been very nice to see all of my friends and it’s surreal to be back at school.”

Administrator Mike Staker said, “This first day is going excellent, there’s a lot less dress code issues this year.”`

LRHS administration remind all Mustangs to follow the dress code policy.
