(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS girls tennis team today won the Class 3A state championship today.
Seniors Ashley Bongart and Lauren Proctor won individual singles state titles while victories for both Mustang doubles teams in semi-final matches give the Mustangs an unassailable lead over second place Miami Terra.
In addition to Bongart and Proctor, the Mustang champions include freshman Natalia Vuckovic and juniors Selena Gomez and Jessica Kroupa.
This is the third state team championship in school history. The Mustang baseball and boys golf teams also claimed state titles.
