(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS girls’ tennis team is competing for the state championship today in Sanlando Park in Orlando.  The LRHS tennis girls enjoyed a successful opening day at the FHSAA Championships.

The lady Mustangs won four single matches in the first round and three in the second round. Ashley Bongart, Lauren Proctor, and Natalia Vuckovic all reached the finals of their brackets on last Tuesday.

Both of the doubles teams advanced during their matches.

Mustang tennis player and junior Selena Gomez said, “We are all really excited. I hope we play strong and do our best.”
