MUSTANGS AHEAD

Some Mustangs long for simpler schooldays

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As people get older there are certain things that they miss, whether it be games and activities, items that they played with as children, or just simple things that they could do when they were young that they don’t get to do now.

Some people miss things like naps and recess. LRHS senior Melissa said

“Recess, I miss taking time out of class for a little bit and getting to stretch my legs out and burn off some energy.” She added, “I especially miss nap times.  Today we’re all so tired and out of energy taking 30 minutes to just take a nap would make a world of a difference.”

Others miss the simple everyday events from their younger years.

Senior Jennifer Miranda said, “I really miss the clothes.  You could pretty much wear anything you want and even if it is the most terrible outfit ever you still look cute.”

LRHS junior Emily Bertrand said, “I miss not having to really make any huge decisions, now we have to make such life making decisions that can affect your entire future. When you were young the only thing you really had to worry about was whether or not your macaroni art looks good.”

Other interesting activities that people noted included things like no shaving, no job and holiday parties.

It seems that many Mustangs who once couldn’t wait to grow up now just want to return to childhood.
