(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Hola, como estais? if you don’t know what that translate to, than you are probably not as lucky as Lillian Martienz’s hardworking LRHS Spanish 4 students who attended a field trip to Ybor City, Tampa on Thursday.
The students walked through “Cuba” and were treated to a fun lunch at the historic Columbia Restaurant where they were entertained by flamenco dancers throughout their meal. “It was so much fun walking around little Cuba. I loved seeing somewhat of the culture. I really learned a lot,” said junior Sarah Anglade.
“I was a little skeptical on how this trip would play out, but it was definitely a 10/10 experience. plus there was free food, and how can you turn down some free Spanish food?” said senior Cole Kasten.
Junior Haliey Todoroff said, “I thought it was a nice treat after working so hard throughout the year.”
