Dramatic Mustangs win state limelight

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – From March 25-29 Theatre students showed off their skills at the Convention Center in Tampa at the state drama competition. Participants had their own categories including custom, publicity, and playwriting.

The theme was centered around The Hunger Games. Everyone’s performances were put together very well.

LRHS Drama adviser Roxanne Caravan said the Mustangs dominated the state competition, excelling in multiple categories –

For senior Brooke Farnsworth it was an amazing experience. “It was wonderful, my favorite part was the opening ceremony.”

Farnsworth has been in theatre for three years and this was the first year that she has competed in states. Theatre Mustangs got the most awards in the excellent and superior categories.

“Everyone’s hard work has paid off, and I will miss being a part of Drama at Lakewood,” stated Farnsworth.
