(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL ) – The final quarter of the 2014-2015 school year is here and preparation for the 2015-2016 school year has begun. Registration forms for the upcoming school year were due March 26 and counselors are ready to begin meeting with students to discuss their class schedules.
In mid-April students’ counselors will begin to call them down to meet with them, review their forms and answer questions. Class schedules will be assigned based on students’ requests and then the school administration will determine how many teaching units they will need for the next year.
One change in the procedure this year is that once your schedule is assigned there will be no changes. “This is why it is so important to turn them in,” said LRHS Guidance Counselor Joann Chmielewski.
“Students can still turn in forms,” Chmielewski said. “They will not be met with if they haven’t turned in a registration form, and if they don’t turn one in their counselor will choose their electives and classes.”
If you lost your a registration form there’s no need to fear. Forms will be available on the school website.
