(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS is hosting an open house 6-7 p.m., tonight. The event will be a chance for new students to get a feel for the school and to see all the sports, extracurricular actives and clubs at the Ranch.

LRHS Assistant Principal Dr. Melinda Lundy said potential incoming freshmen will receive a “passport.” For every location they visit they will receive a stamp on this ‘”passport.” After getting a certain number of stamps students will be eligible for a free prize drawing.

Incoming freshman Elizabeth Soucie is excited.

“Its going to be great getting to see the campus and get familiar with the activities you have at Lakewood Ranch High School,” she said. “The passport thing is pretty cool too, I’m pretty exited for it.”

LRHS seniors will make popcorn and cotton candy and the Student Governrnent Association (SGA) will provide hot dogs while supplies last. Race Track will provide water for the event.
