(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Bundle up LRHS. the weather around the ranch has dropped from sunny and 75 to a brisk 55 degrees for the holidays.

“I love the weather lately, the cold feels like Christmas time,” said Junior Carly Wagner. “I still ride around in my jeep with no doors, though.”

This week’s average temperature weather is around ten degrees below average and many would agree that’s not a normal Florida December.

“Last year it was hot during Christmas time and I didn’t like it,” said Senior Julia Harrison. “It didn’t feel right wearing shorts and a tee shirt looking at Christmas lights,”.

December is known for Christmas lights, hot chocolate and Santa Claus sweaters, but this is not necessarily the norm for Floridians.

“There is something about this weather that makes it really feel like Christmas time, I love getting to wear my sweaters and boots this time of year,” said Senior Olivia Shult.
