(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Raiders are looking forward to taking home the gold Dec. 13 at the JROTC State Championships. This is the first year that the Mustang Raiders have qualified for the State Championships. They won second place in the district meet which took place in early December.

The State Championships take place in Lake Wales.

To win the Raiders face activities such as a five kilometer run, a one rope bridge and a sandbag carry. The goal is to earn the fastest time in each activity. The Mustang Raiders are ready to give it there all at the up-coming championship.

“They will do their best, they’e worked very hard since the beginning of August for this,” said LRHS JROTC teacher Lt. Col. Richard Roller.
