(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Mustang Baseball Club (MBC), a development summer team affiliated with the school that allows players to hone their skills over the off-season, held tryouts this week.

Head Coach Ryan Kennedy along with assistants Brett Holte, Vinnie DeMarco and freshman head coach Matt Pascuzzi decided who made the cut and will post the team roster on the window to Athletic Director Shawn Trent’s LRHS office.

The team will participate in five tournaments with venues in Auburndale and Sarasota.

MBC will have either one 16-and-under team and one 18-and-under team, or two 16-and-under teams. The final makeup will be determined by the ages of the players who register.

The first practice for the rostered players is on June 4, with the team’s first tournament this weekend in Auburndale.

The MBC was started by former varsity coach and current assistant principal Mike Mullen.
