(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS prepares to welcome its new principal with the retirement of Principal Linda Nesselhauf.
The top three candidates to replace her will be on campus from 6-8 p.m., May 27 to speak with the community before the Manatee County School Board makes its final decision.
“I hope we have a good turn out on the 27th,” said Nesselhauf, “Teachers, parents, even students should come out to meet these finalists and have their input. It would be great to have some Student Government Association (SGA) students there.”
The finalists will have their chance to meet with teachers, students and parents.
Junior Marissa Dyer said, “I would love to go with my mom, it’s important that students are involved with how the candidates communicate since they will obviously have to interact with us if they become our new principal.”
Nesselhauf said, “Community members and staff are invited to attend. Community members will gather in the auditorium and staff will be in the cafeteria. Each of three candidates will rotate through these areas, spending 30 minutes talking with the staff and community.”
Nesselhauf said, “It’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of Lakewood Ranch High School.”
