(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Silver Stars danced their way to the top on March 8 in the Marching Auxiliaries (MA) Dance Competition in Lake Mary, FL. They dazzled the judges and brought home four awards. Their jazz and pom routines won superior trophies, the highest achievement possible.

Silver Stars coach Hope Hahn said, “The girls did their best and I would be proud of them regardless of the outcome but them winning two Superiors made me ecstatic.”

The Silver Stars also earned two special awards for choreography and technique.

“We really weren’t expecting the two additional awards at all, so it was really rewarding to earn those, ” said sophomore Sierra Amato. “I’m excited to see where things go from here,”

The Silver Stars are now preparing for the county-wide performance at “Yes We Can Dance” where they will be able to show off their handwork for all of the other middle and high school dance teams in the county.

Hahn also hopes to expand the Silver Stars competition count next season by qualifying for Universal Dance Association national competition over summer and by fundraising more.

“We will participate in as many competitions as possible next season, as long as we have the financial support,” said Hahn. “I can’t wait to build and grow with this team,”
