MUSTANGS AHEAD

Don’t look now, but it’s “Promposal” season

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Prom is just around the corner and the “proposals” (prom proposals) should begin next month. With prom scheduled for May 2, guys are already thinking about who they plan to ask.

“Promposals” start around mid-March and continue until prom, but nobody should wait that late.

In past years, guys have asked girls in ways that have been crazy ways or very simple.  The internet is full of ideas such as these, these, or these.

Junior Kirsten Schmitt said, “since its my junior prom, I don’t even mind if I don’t get asked, I just want to go and hangout with my friends, but my senior year I hope to get asked.”

Some girls are completely fine with going with a group of friends instead of a date if they don’t get asked. Guys often ask their best friend or girlfriend to prom, it depends on individual situations.

After the guy figures out who to ask, figuring out how to ask is the more difficult part of the process. There are so many different ways to ask a girl to prom. The guy can ask in a blown up way, such as through the news in the morning, writing on the girls car, yelling in the courtyard, or even during a sporting event. Some girls are attracted to the simple approach. The guy can leave a note in each of her classes, ask her during a dinner, or even just get her flowers.

The main thing the guy needs to remember is, don’t be nervous. It’s not a proposal for marriage, its only prom.

Senior Danny Rodriguez has already been thinking about how he wants to ask someone to prom, “I asked my date last year by writing on all over her car and sitting on top of it with a flower in my mouth as a joke and it worked out exactly like I wanted it to, but this year I’m definitely going to top that.”
