(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The League of Women Voters wants 18-year-old Mustangs to vote.They also want 16- and 17-year-olds to pre-register. LWV officials will host a registration drive Feb. 21 at the school’s College and Career Fair.

“They actually reached out to us,” said AP Government and AP European History teacher Ben Hall.  

“I think it is in the best interests for students to participate in voting because they are under represented in our community, with the election for governor coming up, college tuition and scholarship money effect the students here the most.”

The LWV is an organization that, since it was formed in 1920, has fought to improve the government and engage all people in the decisions that impact their lives.

They work at national, state and local levels through more than 800 state and local Leagues, in all 50 states, and are coming here to the ranch.
