(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Love is in the air at LRHS as Valentines Day fast approaches. The Mustang Players are helping spread the valentines fever by selling valentine grams in the cafeteria to students to send to other students.

Students can participate in the Mustang Players fund raiser by purchasing a valentine in the cafeteria to be hand-delivered Feb. 14 in the students class. The grams are $1 for a card with a special message and a lollipop, $2 for a card and a special song by the Mustang Players or $3 for all three.

Students can purchase love grams, friendship grams, or anti-valentine grams to be sent to their recipient in class. There was a little controversy over the anti-valentine grams. Some students misunderstood and thought it was an opportunity to send hate mail, and LRHS administration wanted the Players to clarify the issue.

The Mustang Players apologize for the misunderstanding and want students and faculty to know that sending hate mail was never their intention and no rude or hateful grams will be sent, only messages of support for those who just want Valentine’s to be over.
