(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lakewood Ranch boys varsity soccer team is headed to regional finals. The game is home against Seminole High at 7 p.m. With a win they advance to next week’s state championship tournament in Melbourne.

The boys have come a long way from fourth seed in districts to winning that title. They then defeated two tough opponents in Fort Myers (3-0) and North Port (3-2) to get the regional final. Leading scorers include senior Ryan Sollazzo and sophomore Felipe Dangond. Sophomore goalkeeper Liam Bramley had the shut out against Fort Myers.

The team is healthy and ready to go, recovering from injuries to Bramley, two outside defenders, and a few others earlier in the season.

Bramley said he’s glad to be able to contribute again because “It feels great to be back and to be able to help the team.”
