The LRHS cheerleading competition team cheered their way to success at the state competition in Orlando last weekend. Hitting a perfect routine, Coach Melissa Koehlinger and team seemed very happy with the results.
They scored third place out of seven teams in their division.
Team captain Marina Masterson, senior, said, “I thought our routine was very on point. We hit all of our stunts and everyone really pulled through.
“We are happy with out overall performance, and we did everything to the best of our ability,” she added.
The state competition marked a great end to the season for the girls, finishing first in Manatee County and in their region.
