(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Incredulous Justin Bieber fans were reluctant to believe that their idol was arrested in the early hours of Jan. 23rd.

Not only was Bieber arrested for driving under the influence alcohol, he also admitted to arresting officers that he was also under the of marijuana and prescription pills.

He also was responsible for positioning two large SUV’s to block traffic in order to drag race.

LRHS Junior Jesse Owens did not think Bieber would find himself in jail in 2014. “I thought he was at least half decent. I was expecting some other celebrity to go first.”

Freshman Jake Davis said he was “not surprised at all,” and believed that “it was going to happen sooner or later.”

Many other LRHS students don’t follow Bieber as closely.

Sophomore Tyler Goss thinks that celebrities are not important to high school students. “I don’t follow celebrities, or Justin Bieber at that. I’m not a teenage girl.”

Senior Brian Dexter was not amused that the star was in jail. “I’m glad he was punished for what he did,” he said. “Most of his fans are teenage people, so what kind of example is he setting? Famous people today need to realize that they have more influence on kids then they actually think.”
