(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS boys soccer team won their second straight district title by defeating North Port High School 3-2 Thursday night. Seniors Ryan Sollazzo, Bobby Photos, and Martin Martinez all scored goals to secure the win.
Goalie Liam Bramley said, “The game was tight the whole time. My defense played well and we scored some nice goals.”
This is the team’s fourth district title, the third under head coach Vito Bavarro.
“We’re coming together at the right time,” said Bavarro. “If we can stay healthy I think we have a real good shot at states.”
The team’s next game is 7 p.m. is at home at the Ranch Thursday night for Regional Quarterfinals against Fort Myers. With a regional tournament win, the Mustings will move on to the state championship tournament.
