(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Manatee County Sheriff’s office encourages LRHS mustangs to start driving on the right foot.
From 5:30 pm. -9:30 p.m.,Thursday, Dec 12 and from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec 14 teen drivers are going to be put to the test.
Any student ages 15-18 who possesses a learners permit or drivers license can participate in the Teen Driver Challenge.
Instructor Sandy Hotwagner of the Manatee Sheriffs Office will assist student drivers in learning how to be smart, safe, and how to properly drive.
The program is free but participants must be Manatee County residents.
Once the class is completed, participants are eligible for a discount up to10% off their auto insurance.
Thursday classes will be held at 600 301 Blvd. W, Suite 202, Bradenton, FL 34205.
Saturday classes will be held at Manatee Technical Institute (West Campus) 30th St. West and 57th Ave. West.
Students must participate in the classes on both days in order to complete the course.
