Mustangs swimmers speed to regional meets

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- At the district swim competition on Nov. 2, LRHS Mustangs traded their hooves in for flippers and swam for the gold. After a long day in the pool, the boys team came out on top with a score of 397 and the girls team was awarded third with a score of 327.

 LRHS sophomore Malorie Schuerman said, “I’m really proud of my team and I’m so exited for regionals.”

 Assistant Coach Michael Johnson said, “LRHS is bringing a large number of people to regionals so we should have a very good showing.”

 Many Mustangs are going to be heading to the regional competition on Nov. 9 at the North Shore Pool in St. Petersburg. These swimmers include Sydney Panzarino, Malorie Schuerman, Logan Knutson, Luke Hanner, Jacob Krieg, Madison Jean, Kevin Berkenbusch,  Camille Gonzales, Jonathan Chaires, Wesley Anthony, Eric Erlenmeyer, Danny Erlenmeyer, Hannah Grant, Gabby Photos, Isabelle Basden, Courney Lancaster, Courtney Chapin, Jay Cho, Zaya Pelusi, and John Picciano.
