Mustangs can help Angels

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Student Government Association (SGA) is starting its annual Angel Tree Christmas event Nov. 8. The idea of the angel tree is to provide gifts for children who can’t afford to have Christmas.

There are 150 angels on the tree this year. Each angel has a wish list of certain gifts they want. Each angel is in the local area.
SGA adviser Kent Ringquist expects the angels to be adopted in a hurry.

“One thing thats always been fortunate about the students at Lakewood Ranch is that their willing to give,” he said.

The tree will be in the cafeteria where students can sign up, take an angel and make a child’s Christmas special.

The first week of December the presents will be collected by the Salvation Army for the children, whose parents will then wrap the gifts.

Ringquist is hopeful of the students to maintain this and get all 150 angel’s what they wished for.
