(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Chris Brown is very popular among students at LRHS. Brown’s music, acting, and outstanding dance skills have made him one of the most popular artists in the world. But like many other celebrities, Brown has been put in jail numerous times over the years.

Brown was charged with misdemeanor simple assault on Oct. 27 in Washington. Police say Brown punched a man in the face after he asked for a picture. Both Brown and his bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, were arrested, but later released.

Mustangs seem to either support Brown, or they’re fed up with his violent actions.

Sophomore Rachel Nees says, “I’m really disappointed, because he’s really talented.”

Sophomore Sophia Masterson says, “Every action has a consequence.”

Josie Hancock, junior, says, “I hope he gets himself in line, because I’ve always liked him.”

Senior Cole Mathis says, “He’s really violent.”

Brown has checked into a rehab facility for anger management. Sources close to Brown say that he is really serious about getting to the root of what ails him.

Natalie Colwell, junior,  says, “I feel like he’s always going to jail, and checking into rehab, but maybe this time he’ll get better.”

Freshman Molly Mendoza says, “I hope he gets the help he needs.”

Colin Beightol, senior, says, “He needs to control himself.”
