(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS varsity football Mustangs are 4-2. The action will resume this week with a district home game against Palmetto High School. The Mustangs are 2-0 in their district so far, and with the end of the season approaching the game is one more precious opportunity to secure a spot in the playoffs.
Junior Cameron Pearcy said the team is looking forward to the game, “We have been practicing really hard and have done everything the coaches say.”
After this week’s home game there are only three more regular season games. Two are at home, Oct. 25 vs. Riverview and then Nov. 8 vs. Port Charlotte. The away game is a district contest at Sarasota Nov. 1.
